Hissrich confirms that, too, will be animated, but there’s a much different plan in place.
It stems from the stories behind the stories told in author Andrzej Sapkowski’s originalWitchernovels.
Those things to me are the bells and whistles of this world.
If you peel away those layers, you come back to basic tales of morality.
That’s what all of Sapkowski’s short stories are.
They’re morality tales, they’re fairytales.
It’s a concept close to Hissrich’s heart.
She has an 8- and 10-year-old at home who are constantly asking her if they can watchThe Witcher.
And I want to bring them into this world," she says.
Hissrich acknowledges the humor in that challenge.
After all, so you can become a Witcher, young boys must endure the Trial of the Grasses.
“We won’t be telling that part of the story,” Hissrich says.
“But I do want to initiate a new audience into this world.
It’s an entrance point in my mind.”
