The singer and rapper opens up in a clip from Netflix’s This Is Pop.
In the video above, he recalls, “Usher was my friend.
I really respect Usher.
T-Pain and Usher.
And he said, ‘I’m gonna tell you something, man.
You kinda fed up music.'”

“I was like, ‘What did I do?
I came out and I used Auto-Tune.’
He was like, ‘Yeah, you fed it up.’
I’m like, ‘ButIused it, I didn’t telleverybody elseto start using it.'”
