Showrunner Todd Helbing teases to EW what’s to come in season 2.

So how are the writers approaching this classic foe?
“We take inspirations from the comics as much as possible, and then we venture to twist it.

“It’s kind of awkward at first,” said Helbing of the families' dynamic.
This arrangement will be especially hard for John Henry.
“This is torture for him,” said Helbing.
That’s going to become obvious to everybody that John is struggling.
