The latest episode ofThe Mandalorianended with the introduction of a mysterious character. (Spoilers follow for episode 5, The Gunslinger.) But who is the figure? Theres a whole galaxy of possibilities. First, this episode takes place on Tattooine. Some have dismissed the episodes location as mere fan service. But what if he escaped? But what if the plan wasalsoto re-introduce Boba Fett as an antagonist for some Mando-vs.-Mando action? Pit our hero against the most formidable and popular bounty hunter inStar Wars?...

Warning: Spoilers ahead. The premiere ofThe Mandalorianrevealed what that previously reporteddramaticspoiler from theStar Warsuniverse was all about. Spoiler alert: Do not read further unless youve watched the premiere episode of the new Disney+ series. The target was supposedly 50 years old, which is perhaps possible given that Yoda lived to 900. Yoda, of course, died duringReturn of the Jedi, which is set beforeThe Mandalorian. Its not yet clear if the infant or child is related to Yoda or not....

The one hitch is that Mando can’t use hyperspace to get there because it would kill the eggs. But Baby Yoda’s egg-eating reign of terror is not yet over. Trouble really starts once Frog Lady wakes up and makes enough noise for the pilots to hear. Lucasfilm Ltd. The Razor Crest suffers serious damage but he and Frog Lady survive. Bad, Baby Yoda, bad! She’s fighting extinction, but maybe the stories of Mandalorian honor were just those told to children....

Mando tests out his new name, laughing every time Grogu responds to it. Much to Grogu’s consternation, Mando takes the ball from him but only to test his Force abilities. As a blue butterfly flits by the delighted child (is that a shoutout to Ben Solo? ), Mando looks around to see if there is some kind of trigger to make the stone work....

Mando returns to Tatooine in search of another Mandalorian but finds someone he wasn’t expecting. As weve seen, Mandalorians take their armor seriously and Mando demands Vanth return the armor. Suitably armored, Vanth drove the Collective out. Lucasfilm And just like Vanth at first, the villagers arent too happy to be working with their former enemy. Mando speaks up for the Tuskens and helps broker the peace treaty. They lure the dragon out and its full size makes Daenerys dragons onGame of Throneslook like loth cats....

If the Empire couldnt get it under control, how can the New Republic think they can? To Mandos opposition, Greef puts Baby Yoda in school for the day. How the kids are supposed to concentrate in Baby Yodas presence, we do not know. Credit: Lucasfilm Ltd. There is an old Imperial base outside of Nevarros safe green zone. Mando takes care of getting them into the base himself by jetpacking ahead and dispatching several troopers....

After all that, Mando isntreallyjust going to hand Baby Yoda (a.k.a. the Child) over to The Client, is he? Unfortunately, seems as if is exactly what hes planning to do. Having stirred from his Force-induced extended nap, Baby Yoda is awake and ready to play. Meanwhile, Mando demands to know how many fobs were given to other bounty hunters. However, this time, his arrival with an entire camtono of Beskar bricks does not go unnoticed....

Mando meets the legendary Ahsoka Tano and Baby Yoda finally gets a name! Before Mando arrives, the Magistrate is being bedeviled by a cloaked figure outside the gated city walls. Not agreeing to the deal but not saying as much, he asks where the Jedi is. Taken outside the citys walls again by Lang, Mando and Baby Yoda start searching through the forest....

But it looks like the Mandalorians might find him first as a cloaked figure (Mercedes Varnado, a.k.a. WWE star Sasha Banks) watches Mando from the shadows before disappearing. Frog Man was right and there have been others in beskar armor about. Lucasfilm Ltd. Mando gets introduced to a Quarren fisherman who says he can take Mando to them by boat. Things look dire for Mando until helps arrives in the familiar armor of a certain well-known Mandalorian Nite Owl....

However, Mando and the kid are nowhere to be found during the opening minutes of episode 4. Instead it opens on a small village on an Earth-like planet. Aware of the certain danger theyre in, Mando plots their next move. The MandalorianChapter 4CR: Lucasfilm.Lucasfilm Mando briefly abandons the child to follow her in yet another questionable parenting decision. Taking their money, Mando recruits Cara for the mission. Upon arrival at the small village, a group of children immediately fawn over Baby Yoda and… same....

The Mandalorian’s third episode from season 2 revealed a fan-favorite character and confirmed the pending appearance of another. Read on for more(spoilers).
