Schulenburg was born May 21, 1984, in Cape Cod, Mass.

She played Alison McDermott Stewart, a role previously held by several child actresses, includingModern Family’sSarah Hyland.

Her performance earned her a a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2010.

In 2013, Schulenburg joined the relaunchedOne Life to Liveas Jo Sullivan.

Her other TV credits includedThe Good Fight,Blue Bloods,Elementary, andRoyal Pains.

In May 2020, Schulenburg revealed that she had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
