LeVar Burtonwill be hosting a knowledge-based game show after all just not the one you might have expected.

The erstwhile aspiringJeopardyemcee will host a game show based on the classic board gameTrivial Pursuit, EW has confirmed.

The project is in development at Entertainment One (a.k.a.

eOne), the media company recently acquired byTrivial Pursuitowner Hasbro.

No data pipe is currently attached to the show.

“Trivial Pursuitis one of the best-known brands in the gaming universe,” Burton said in a statement.

First released in 1981, the game has sold more than 100 million copies and spawned countless arguments worldwide.

This will not be the first timeTrivial Pursuithas been adapted for TV.

News of Burton’s version comes in the wake of theReading Rainbowpresenter’s guest-hosting stint onJeopardyearlier this year.

In an interview onThe Daily Showin September, Burton toldTrevor Noahthat he was no longer interested in hostingJeopardyfull time.

“What I wanted was to compete.

“So we’re trying to figure out what the right game show for LeVar Burton would be.”
