Um, my dog ate my homework.
There was a flood… All those excuses.
Entertainment Weekly:Did you ever give a shot to bring your other tours here?

Kylie Minogue: Oh yeah.
Weve discussed it many times.
Financially, it made absolutely zero sense.
Last year, I spent so long touring.
And Ive had a great time, and I have a band Im just loving were really just vibing.
So, it felt like it was now or never.
Im absolutely thrilled and amazed at the response so far.
Is there a possibility that more dates could be added?
It seems like its going to be a whirlwind tour, and theyre alreadyselling out.
Ill try, yeah.
The title of the tour isFor You, For Me, is that right?
It wasFor You, For Me.
And maybe thats going to stick, Im not sure.
I just thought: its not for an album.
Im not promoting anything.
Its for you, for the audience.
Is that going to be a new single or anything?
For You, For Me?
Hmmm… [laughs]
So what kind of set list can we expect?
Youll have the hits, for sure.
Many of which will be remixed or in different versions.
Ill take you back to the beginning…
Is that embarrassing?
It was, but its not anymore.
I do it in the old-fashioned way, complete with [she makes a record-scratching noise] ah-ah-ah-ah.
The crowd go absolutely nuts.
Give the people what they want!
Thats what Im here for!
Maybe a couple covers, like I normally do in a show.
Id love to bring backAll That Scratching Is Making Me Itch, that kind of thing.
So, were all madly thinking about it at the moment.
And then as a whole, it will be really new.
It must be tough to cut down your catalog.
Some of the venues arent huge.
How are you planning on adjusting?
Well, were kind of used to doing that.
Last year, we had the beautiful huge skull that I descended on.
Its a shame but its a reality that you have to make compromises.
So, you just scale it down and do a B show.
In certain places we did a C show.
But in the end, I think it doesnt take away from it.
It creates a different showsome were more like a gig than a show.
And you get a different dynamic.
And I think theyll work.
I dont mind it.
It kind of changes it up for me.
So are we going to just get you on a stool with a guitar?
Or will there still be a little spectacle?
Yeah, yeah, therell still be the razzle-dazzle, dont you worry.
Its not going to be me with a banjo.
Some of the costumes youve worn in the past have been so funny and over-the-top.
Have you ever seen something and said, Nope, thats too much?
Yeah, but Ive been coerced into wearing it.
Well, there was one dress I wore to sing with Robbie Williams at one of his concerts.
And there was not a lot of this dress.
And when I first saw it, I said, Youve got to be kidding me.
[pause] But I had two queens in my dressing room, so I ended up wearing it.
It was a futile fight.
You cant argue with two queens.
And I guess they were right.
And it looked good.
How do you pick the costumes for each tour?
It starts with a set list, and then what kind of segments well have.
Which really seems to work, because Ive got to get off and do a costume change.
I mean, I have more quick-change anxiety than [anxiety about] the show.
Because normally my costumes are not fully ready until opening night.
Sometimes Im just thinking, How am I going to do that?
Recently, I dont know if you saw, but Paula Abdul was onAmerican Idol…
I havent seen it!
Ive heard all about it.
She performed anunreleased trackof yours that was leaked online last year.
Im Just Here for the Music.
Did you know about that?
Thats just what happens with songs that are demod.
I demod it, and it wasnt on my album.
[laughs]
My editor asked me if Paula wasSingle White Female-ing you.
Is that the case?
Its not my intention.
I mean, Im going to the places where I definitely have a market and where its a no-brainer.
I mean, Im not going to sell myself all around America, you know what I mean?
Its where I feel that Ill be welcome, and where they get me.
Were glad to have you.
