Foo Fighters join Dave Chappelle's post-electionSaturday Night Liveas musical guests

This will mark the band’s eighth stint as musical guests for the late-night variety show.

As forDave Grohl, he’ll be topping his own record.

Grohl already maintains the most musical appearances onSNL, with 13 total since theKevin Hart-frontedstint from December 2017.

That number accounts for his appearances with Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and alongsideMick JaggerandTom Pettyon stage.

After this weekend, he’ll be at 14.

NBC announced the news in a fresh promo for the episode, released on Wednesday after Election Night.

This year,Grohl spoke outagainst Donald Trump in support of teachers, like his mom, Virginia Grohl.

Chappelle previously hostedSNL’s first post-election episode of 2016with A Tribe Called Quest as musical guests.
