The Academy added that Smith was asked to leave the ceremony following the incident but refused.
They also extended apologies to Rock, nominees, guests, and viewers.

“You’re also trying to double-check Chris Rock is okay.
The Academy confirmed early Monday thatit had launched an investigationinto Smith’s conduct.
The Los Angeles Police Department also confirmed thatRock declined to press charges.
